Description
HUMAN FLY Magazine was a local, retro-style, Rock ‘n’ Roll publication created, written and designed by Gabriel Olivier Hernandez. Since the first issue in November ’25, the publication has grown significantly and is dedicated to keeping Rock ‘n’ Roll alive and kicking, as well as shedding light on some of the genre’s original pioneers. Having made the rounds in Melbourne, Human Fly is going global to spread the word of good rockin’ music and great Aussie artists all over the world. This has led to HUMAN FLY Magazine Issue #2 (and soon #3) coming out with a new, exciting lineup of articles, opinion pieces, reviews, and artwork. You can’t miss it!!
Here’s where we get into it. Double the length of the first edition, Issue #2 begins with a brand new Cramps-centric segment where we explore the story of the songs The Cramps taught us through their records & interviews. The Fly also goes psycho over The Reverend Horton Heat, takes a look back on Link Wray, and reviews The Doors’ best live album. The Fly also talks about some more killer local Melbourne bands keeping the spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll alive and well in the scene today. We also have an exclusive interview and segment with the legendary DJ Diddy Wah, where he talks to us all about his killer ’60s garage rock collection & recommends some great tracks to keep you company during the read. Issue #2 takes the first issue’s Rock ‘n’ Roll goodness and doubles it for your Fly eyes only!
